Natland Parish Council is an elected local government body, below Westmorland and Furness Council.
Natland Parish Council is an elected local government body, below Westmorland and Furness Council.
The Council provides a few services directly – maintaining the village green, and the bus shelters – but mostly it represents the interests of Natland to the providers of other services – principally Westmorland and Furness Council for Planning, Highways, and Bus Services among others. It also supports voluntary activities to look after the village environment and sets up occasional working groups to look into current concerns. It is funded by the parish element of the council tax.
The council currently has the maximum of seven councillors and employs a part-time clerk. The contact details of all councillors, the clerk and the District and Councillors for Natland are available by clicking here, and published on the Parish Council noticeboard.
The Parish Council's noticeboard is outside the Village Hall.
